Ζεϊμπέκικο της Ευδοκίας

Zeibekiko of Eudokia is one of the most famous compositions in zeibekiko style. The music for it was written in 1971 by famous greek composer Manos Loizos for film "Eudokia", and the video is from the film:



They say, that a greek poet Lefteris Papadopoylos wrote lyrics for the melody, but never showed them for not to spoil the superb music with words. So the melody doesn't have words. Only in the film Eudokia says "Παναγιά μου".

And here you can see a video from a performance of Haris Aleksioy. The man, who dances there, is a greek actor, Drosos Skotis, and he is dressed as a soldier, like the main character in the film was dressed.
